Do you know the meaning of sinful…
Do you know…
I have sinned far from forgivable, even after complaining that I am putting on weight, even after meeting a long ago friend and he told me “eh… you look much more… big boned” even after knowing my weights are nothing but increasing, even after I know that if I don’t start getting lighter, I will end up getting much heavier by Christmas and then new year… even after……. And even after.
Yesterday I kind of talked my moo into bringing me out for dinner, I suggested food court, he suggested V8. Although it was not too expensive either, just the casual western style, but I always hear him talk about saving $ yet he chose a place that will cost 3 times more to eat. Not that I mind though, he is paying anyway. I ordered eve’s garden, it seems the lunch menu and dinner menu are slightly different. I don’t remember seeing eve’s garden before the many times I came at lunch time, so why not give it a go.
The sauce on dory fish is really appetizing, but after a few more mouthful, it feels like I am eating a big plate of appetizer for dinner… feel kind of weird. It was nice, just … its dinner….. I don’t want to eat something which makes me full but still feel like eating more, it almost seemed like there isn’t a full stop for dinner. I am stuck at comma, but it has ended.
It was raining today, so I ate indoor. No more usual $2.30 boneless chicken rice with $0.50 drink. Went into a Korean café, and ordered bulgogi beef set. They had nice side dish, it’s just a small café in a pathetic corner of chevron house near the toilet, nevertheless, it’s good as they have different variety of side dish all in one set.

It’s a little costly for an afternoon work lunch though. That’s why I always hate rain during work. Not only it’s too darn cold, I have to eat expensive lunch coz it doesn’t look like anything indoor is cheap. 1 indoor meal = 3.5 outdoor meal. It means having a week of indoor meal would be almost equivalent to having a month of outdoor meal. After counting this way, it just sucks.
Back to topic.
It’s been a long time since I’ve seen any proper Korean restaurant around that really serve Korean food in Korean style, I miss Seoul House in Melbourne. They always have plenty of side dishes at with unlimited refill. And at grandma kimchi, there is this cold bowl of noodle which is so chewy and almost hard to eat, but nice. I only know one place in Singapore that have the cold beef noodle soup, and that is The Heeren. Maybe I haven’t been to enough places to know more, but I hope I can go back there one day to have the dish again. It wasn’t really the best place to go though, the last time I went, they have only one pathetic side dish. It was nice, but just not enough.
Brought my cousins out for dinner today, to Tao’s… again.
Those who haven’t been there before, it’s a restaurant which serve 6-7 course meal letting you chose from a few variety of each course. It sounds like a lot but the portion is small, so its about just right for a meal.
*Warning* the follow pictures are more than sinful, may the holy ones not continue down the page.

After a series of courses, we’re all so full we didn’t manage to make our way home straight away. We couldn’t carry the weight on our stomach so we enjoy the free flow of tea available. The waiter was kind to offer us complimentary desserts, but we’re all so full so we turned down the offer. The crew there was erm … friendly though, I don’t know, maybe trying to be a humorous? Sometimes they are, a little. But it makes our dinner more enjoyable anyway, so we didn’t mind. Maybe we’re the awkward bunch so they teased us more, a girl wearing a big singtel Tee with shorts, a girl wearing her secondary school uniform, a girl who look so shagged it looks as if her eyes almost drop out. And a boy who is definitely a very obvious primary school boy, eating at a nicely decorated semi-jap restaurant while other people are either couples’ friends or those obvious family with parents and kids. Compared to that, we look like unwanted orphans. But worry not, we’re not.
After some time, we finally made our way back home. I was feeling a bit too pai sei sitting there for so long asking for refills of tea. I need the ladies too anyway. I thought my sinning would stop there.
I was wrong, very, very wrong.
I stole the spiral fishcake from moo's chu qian yi ding instant noodle...

After that.....
My aunt’s maid brought up the usual, cakes from Rives Gauche. Four boxes of it, I thought the usual strawberry something, something orange, choco something, cheese something. They have been buying these flavors for one whole year, or even the years before I came back to Singapore. This time there are four boxes, I was curious at the increased amount of boxes so I decided to take a look anyway.
I saw something other than the four cakes mentioned above, and it looks so very chocolaty. I took one and ….
