Went to work early in the morning today, woke up at 8 30 am. Supposed to be an hour earlier, but what does moo + me add up to? Laziness is the correct answer. Our work place this time is at Tampines Junior College. I didn’t expect the job this time to be interesting at all, we’re in charge of the leaflets again, oh I hate the thought of that. This time though, it is a lot more interesting. Being in a junior college was quite an experience. The students which doesn’t have much experience but tones of knowledge in their brains, walking around with groups of friends in uniforms that makes them looks nothing more than secondary school students. Their classrooms are what you would expect from a standard government school, quite big and a place where a 1^st timer could easily get lost. I guess I am not that good with directions, luckily moo was with me.

The interesting part isn’t just about the school, but the students there. You know that most of them aren’t those streets old man who could spit saliva at you or scold you because you’re unsure about your own product. The best of all is that there is no one to keep their eyes on us, this is a big big plus. Of coz we still do our jobs and we don’t really skive, except for 2 – 3 five min breaks because we’re thirsty.

Giving out flyers is one of the most boring jobs one could ever have, unless you have unique experience when you’re doing it but I doubt that would ever happen. Like what? Seeing a reaper taking flyers from you coz he needs internet access too? Ok never mind, I am just lame. The students there had a different reaction to those on the streets when you put your flyer in their way. Most people on the street would just take it or give u the rude “no thank you” stare, sometimes the polite ones. But the students there, they walk in a bunch and when you give them the flyers, they will giggle giggle, walk in a way obviously to shun you. “no thank you no thank you” but will still take. Some wants to take the flyers but shy, they will give you the “please notice me and come to me and give me the flyer although I don’t dare to walk over to your side, so please notice me” puppy eye stare. A lot of other interesting reactions, it’s just so cute. When it is soon time to start packing, we had a lot of “door gift” left that were clearly unwanted by the supplier. We had to give them away, so we just take the note books and post it pad and walk around and shove them to the students around there. Initially I thought who would want a note book and a post it pad, they’re students, they like those over cool looking things or super cute looking things. Obviously not a Notebook with Singtels’ url pasted on every alternate page of the notebooks? I was totally wrong, they’re all excited about the notebooks and went gaga over it, each time I chose a table to give the note books to, the students just do the “I am a big fan of yours” type of cheering, “here here, come here” be it out of sarcasism or pure fun, it was enjoyable for me. In the end the notebooks were enough for everyone on site.

I haven’t even got to the movie voucher part. 1^st 50 customers get movie voucher from shaw which entitles holder a ticket per voucher. Me and moo are among the first 50, ^^ obviously. I heard there are diff kinds of voucher in stacks in their store or something, I hope I get this job again so many I can get a best denki voucher or something. This time I am not just gonna take one each for moo and me.

Didn’t get to go swimming today coz of the weather and the hours after work, the sun isn’t that nice anymore. Plans to go swimming tomorrow, hope the sun welcomes me to bake under him.

I have a sudden urge to do a many photo post, so I am digging old photos to post, some are funny some are lame. Just enjoy it.
