Hey ladies and gentleman. I am back !!!

What a satisfying trip. I totally love it. The weather, the excitement, and all the things we did. It was quite unexpected fun, initially when I look at the Genting website, there seems like nothing much to be excited about, ok outdoor theme park.. yay… indoor theme park.. what? U know.. all these expecting to see things which are expected. But after reaching there, some things was out of what I imagined to be, and some of them are an ult disappointing.

Trip ‘summary’

The night before we set off for golden mile. There was not time for me to sleep, after my job finishes at 10.30pm , moo and our friend jayson came somewhere near my work place to have supper. I had to do lots of last min washing and packing after that, my moo knows nothing about help other then playing his game saying he has only 17% left to level up. Thumbs ‘up’ to him. I made snacks for them to bite on along the way too, busy through out the night. Had little time for surfing the net before I have my set off shower, then start waking the boys who were sleeping my beds like a cute lil couple up.

Early in the morning, although all of us was tired but I am the only one that look like a damn stone. Zombified face and “do not disturb” expression.

It was quite a long ride to genting, bout 7 to 8 hours I think? Along the way we had a few stops. One of which I didn’t expect, lunch break. I didn’t remember the coach stopping for a meal during my last trip when I was nine. But I guess maybe its just because that’s a night trip. I kinda feel sad coz my sandwiches which I took some time to prepare seems to be going to waste. But the food at the lunch break stop was erm.. not very up to standard. I had to get the motion sickness pill from there. My face already turned green from half the trip. I can’t imagine how I will look like continuing the other half without a pill. Luckily I could get them.

I was sleeping other then those stops we made, was way too tired to look out the window and enjoy the view. On the other hand, moo was so excited, it was his furthest trip from Singapore. He definitely hasn’t seen mist floating around before. When we’re reaching genting, he was so excited he had to grab jayson’s attention and point out the window nodding speedily with a big big big smile on his face. He was already this excited just seeing the mist. I didn’t get to see the face coz I was still sleeping but hearing from his friend and seeing the imitation was really cute. Sometimes I don’t seems to be able to enjoy the simple things in life so its good to see someone truly enjoy them.

Upon reaching there, wow the weather was cold, not what I expected. I read the website, its 22 degree averagely throughout the year. So I thought its just gonna be 2 degree up and down in the noon and night. But I was totally wrong.

The hotel was a disappointment. Its neat and clean, but its not something that I had in mind, the window was facing windows of other rooms in the hotel, there was no open view. The toilet didn't have a bath tub.To think I even prepared foam bath lotion. There was no fridge, the television was quite small without a remote control. There was no room service menu to order food from. Although it seems to be the world biggest hotel with 6k+ rooms but its not the best hotel to live in either. I remembered hotel highlands to be quite a good one to stay in when I was 9, with the big toilet and a bath tub, with remote control television and not bad view.

We didn’t go to the outdoor theme park on the 1st day because of the rain. The mist was thick. But we went around the indoor theme park for some disappointing rides. Motion master, any idea what it is? The theater with movable chairs blah blah… I remembering it as being fun and exciting, even to the extend of realistic. The last time I played that was when my age is still on the single digit line. Times has changed. I grew up I guess.. those rides is not as fun anymore. The kids down there seems to enjoy it instead. Well, I was once a kid…

The next thing we tried was a ride which is suppose to make you feel like you’re flying. Indeed we ‘flew’ but our head knock right on the sides each time the machine make a turn. Ouch.. all of us other then moo had a dizzy spell for a while, I guess coz moo has a bigger head and unable to knock around the sides.

We posed a ultra man sign during the photo taking part and bought it, it looks a bit weird but it’s a memorable one.

The 1st day was nothing much, the only other big thing was the price of food and the price of a trip to casino *fierce stare* the boys sure enjoyed themselves at first but goes out of the casino with only 2 words in mind. ‘banker’ and ‘player’. I am pretty sure the 2 words haunted them until the next morning before they open their eyes. Can’t help but laugh when I think of it.

One other thing that made my day was my sandwich was finished up somehow on that day. By the 2 boys ^^, at least my efforts didn’t go to waste.

The 2nd day I woke them up early in the morning to have the free buffet breakfast which was totally horrible. The variety was just that. And the taste was not even just that. As far as I know, it was the most horrible buffet breakfast any hotel can serve. I mean, don’t the word hotel normally bring images of food which is up to standard? But hell no, not this one. It was totally disappointing but we still had our breakfast there because its free anyway.

Next the outdoor theme park!!! It was the best thing there. They definitely don’t have the quantity of rides to boast about. But most of them are something worth queuing for. There’s lot of crowd from late morning to late noon. Each and every ride has long queue even the most boring one u can find.

I am not gonna talk about each and every ride I tried, I am just gonna say the one I enjoy most. It’s called the space shot. It looks like a normal thrill ride from down below before trying it. But it can become addictive after trying. Its not one of those rides that knock your head all around and make sure dizziness comes with the excitement. It’s a ride that gives you full points of excitement without the dizzy part. It brings you up to nearly 20 storey high and stops there for about 10 seconds before it totally ‘let go’ and brings you down at a great speed. It really feels like falling, my butt lifted from the seat for a short period of time but enough to make me feel speechlessly excited. Not one of those ‘raise your hand and lets shout woo’ kinda feeling. You really have to try it to know. Its one of the best rides ever. We went for a few more rounds after that.

Our friend Jayson is a fierce looking guy with not much guts for thrill rides. The Viking has already sent his heart to the mouth. And he wouldn’t go got the space shot ride no matter how we persuade him on the first round, I was already queuing and moo didn’t manage to grab him to join the queue. But on the 2nd around, he didn’t have so much luck. I joined in the persuading and literally pulled him to join the already seemed short queue. The length of queue was another plus to change his mind. But it did take some time.

He was being made to sit separated from us coz of the odd number of seats available on our turn. Alone, high up almost 20 storey, already scared in the first place. But a girl was sitting beside him with a brave front, he had no choice but to look daring as well. The moment it drops, I can imagine his totally pale green face, couldn’t help but laugh, the moment he got off the ride, his legs was soft and his face was telling us ‘my soul is half gone.’ It was the best face to see from a person like him haha. Moo on the other hand closes his eyes for the 1st drop in the 1st 2 round. I on the other hand wasn’t as prepared on the 1st round so accidentally manage to open my eyes all the way. The feeling was splendid. The 3rd round was as exciting as the first round, doesn’t seems to get tired of it.

We ended the outdoor theme park trip with a ride that moo suggested. A total mistake. We’re hungry at first and all but after the spinning ride, all of us had dizzy spells and we couldn’t eat much. Our plans to go casino again at night went down to drain coz the boys couldn’t seems to wake up. I was wrong to ask moo to wake up 1st too, should have expected he would rather sleep his holiday off.

And today, after relaxing around at starbucks, we head back home with the coach.

On the way back, our coach tire penchet. I was half asleep when suddenly a POK sound came from no where, the coach made a sudden slowed down speed and sent everyone flying forward. I had to use my legs to push against the front chair to support. I then realized the car is sinking one side before stopping after a short distance. I looked out the window and see something which look like black coils, didn’t know what that its, but it’s a total mess. The driver open the door and the smell of burnt rubber started flooding in. It was horrible, I was already affected by the motion sickness and the smell adds in. Started puking after that. Luckily it was near a small road side hawker, on that hot and sunny day, we sat at the hawker with our big bags looking at the malfunctioned coach. I took a picture of it without a clear view of my screen because of the sun’s reflection. Some ‘xtra’ was walking in front of my phone when I took the picture. I was the only one thick skinned enough to take the picture there *cheers*

In fact I was quite happy the tire penchet. Never have I had this experience before, although it’s a bad one, but its still one unique experience.

I am still in the holiday mood but I have to go work tomorrow, what a pain. I would love to bring my cousins a trip there once I got some $ would be fun scaring them all the rides and seeing their cute lil green faces.

Didn’t really get to upload much photos here, coz I need to transfer the photos from the cam.. but I got some on my phone ^^ and there they are.

On the coach setting of for genting. The excited Moo, and the sleepy Jayson

A view taken from the lobby of the hotel

This is a miniature of the whole place, first world hotel is the colorful building.

Ok, don ask me who is this guy, I don't even know his name, he isn't even suppose to be in this picture. I am trying to take a photo of the tire which penchet. The tire part is dark and unclear but you can see the metal part coming out, it was not intentional, it happen because of the penchet. The tire cave in after it happen.
